David Mooney is a writer and a radio journalist based in Manchester. He is currently writing for ESPN FC, providing articles about his supported football club Manchester City. He has published books on that same topic – his most recent being Looks Like Scunny Next Year, which is all about the 1999 Division Two Play-Off Final team that came back from 2-0 down on 90 minutes to win promotion.

He’s written two other Manchester City books: Typical City – all about the club’s 2012 title win – and The Man Who Restored Pride – which covers the rise and fall of former manager Roberto Mancini.

David is currently the news editor on 104.9 Imagine FM and can also be heard on Blue Moon Live every Sunday evening from 9pm. He’s also the host and editor of the BlueMoon Podcast.
